What we collect

Account: email, display name, school affiliation, and (optionally) profile image, all provided by you during signup and onboarding.

Production data: scripts, shot lists, schedules, crew rosters, expenses, and channel messages you create inside the app. You retain ownership of your production data. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with other students.

Usage: product analytics via PostHog (page views, events such as completing an analysis or issuing a credit), plus processing time and cost records. Session replay is enabled by default. Its recorder is configured to mask form inputs and text displayed on the page. Email support@shilpimedia.com from your account email and we'll exclude your account from recording within 24 hours.

What we share

Nothing identifiable, outside the services we use to run Shilpi. These include: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Google (sign-in and AI processing), OpenRouter (routing AI requests), and PostHog (analytics). Each one is a data sub-processor.

Your script and the AI features. When you run an analysis, the text you uploaded is sent to OpenRouter, which forwards it to Google Cloud Vertex AI. Our request policy restricts routing to that provider and disallows provider data collection. We do not use your scripts to train any model of our own. We do not sell your material, and we do not share it with anyone outside the sub-processors named above.

Analysis involves external processing. If your production requires a data-processing agreement or specific retention terms, contact us before uploading material so we can discuss those requirements.

Aggregated comparables: when you publish a production snapshot, we include it in our index, including school, genre, budget range, number of shoot days, and a numerical representation of the logline for comparison. The snapshot is anonymized: your name, crew roster, and exact dates are not part of the shared record.

How to get your data out (or deleted)

Email support@shilpimedia.com from the address on your account. We’ll either export a JSON bundle of everything we have or purge your account and associated production data within 30 days. If you published a snapshot and want it retracted, say so in the email.
